The Colorado Center on Law and Policy's mission is to promote justice and economic security for all Coloradans, particularly lower income people.
CCLP advocates on behalf of the the poor, working poor and other vulnerable populations though legislative, administrative and legal advocacy.
CCLP is the only organization in Colorado to provide the critical advocacy formerly provided by federally funded legal services programs.
Our Mission

The Colorado Fiscal Policy Institute, a nonprofit, nonpartisan project of the Colorado Center on Law and Policy, promotes justice and economic security for all Coloradans.
CCLP anb COFPI are dynamic organizations, leading the effort to resolve some of Colorado's biggest policy challenges. As both resources and catalysts, CCLP and COFPI work for changes in public policy through timely, credible and accessible policy analysis, education, advocacy and coalition building.
Goals
CCLP and COFPI work in a wide array of policy, advocacy, and research areas in pursuite of the following goals:

How We Accomplish Our Goals
CCLP and COFPI serve as vital resources for individuals and families, community organizations, state legislators and local policymakers by:
- Educating communities affected by public policy decisions
- Researching and Producing reports on issues that affect lower-income Coloradans
- Drafting proposed legislation and regulations
- Testifying before the State Legislature and state and local administrative agencies
- Helping people access systems & services that offer safety nets, and move them to self-sufficiency
- Litigating and assisting Pro Bono Attorneys in administrative proceedings when significant policy or legal issues are involved

- Serving as a legal resource to advocacy groups involved in welfare reform and efforts to increase access to adequate healthcare
